Cuban Artists Fund Kicks Off 20 Years with the Parla Brothers

On November 8th, 2018, supporters, artists, and friends gathered at Parla Studios in New York City to toast the launch of Cuban Artists Fund’s 20 year anniversary celebration series. Hosted by artists and brothers, Jose and Rey Parla, the evening was filled with live music, DJing, Cuban-inspired hors d’oeuvres, and libations. Event Ambassadors and guests in attendance included Caroline and Paul Cronson, Anita Durst of Chashama, Howard and Patricia Farber of Cuban Art News, actress Sissi Fleitas, Lane Harwell of the Ford Foundation, writer/producer Adam Whitney Nichols, and more.

Cuban Artists Fund is a New York City-based nonprofit organization that raises global awareness and understanding of Cuban cultural achievements, builds an international network of support and partnerships for the Cuban arts community, and plays a leadership role in promoting better understanding among American, Cuban, and Cuban Diaspora artists, art professionals, academics, and communities. Over these past 20 years, the organization is proud to have supported over 100 Cuban artists.
